Ever since Gene Baldwin was a young boy growing up in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, he loved watching the crop dusters fly over his home. He was engrossed with how they would swoop down, charge back up into the sky, and angle off for the next round. Gene currently resides at Fairway View Senior Communities in Ortonville, Minnesota. A few weeks ago, when the Neighborhood Leader at Fairway View asked Gene what he would like for his birthday, Gene replied, "I would like to have a ride in a crop duster, but I know that is just a dream." Wondering if she could make that happen, the Neighborhood Leader called Milbank Airport and spoke with Christian Reimche of Reimche Airspray, who informed her that crop dusters are one-seaters and cannot fly a passenger. Christian then offered to help find a pilot for a plane ride and put her in contact with Dan Loehrer, Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor.
