OAHS Receives $10,000 Minnesota OSHA Ergonomic Safety Grant

Ortonville Area Health Services (OAHS) is proud to announce that Fairway View Neighborhoods has been awarded a $10,000 Minnesota OSHA Ergonomic Safety Grant to support workplace safety improvements for our long-term care team. The grant will fund the purchase of a bariatric-capable Hoyer lift and a Hercules repositioning system, equipment that will help reduce the physical demands associated with resident transfers and repositioning while improving safety for both residents and caregivers. These investments were identified through an onsite ergonomic safety assessment and are designed to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries related to lifting, transferring, and repositioning residents. “This grant allows us to continue investing in the safety and well-being of our employees while enhancing the quality of care we provide to our residents,” said OAHS leadership. “We are grateful for the support of the Minnesota OSHA Ergonomic Safety Grant Program and the opportunity to bring additional safety resources to Fairway View Neighborhoods.” OAHS remains committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for employees and residents alike through proactive investments in workplace safety, employee well-being, and quality care.
